## Definition

The invoice issued to the successful bidder after the sale, listing the lots bought with their hammer prices, the buyer's premium, applicable taxes and any shipping or other charges.

Buyer's invoices are usually issued within hours of the sale so that payment and collection can start quickly. Clients who bid under several numbers, in the room and online for example, generally prefer a single invoice.

In Selloff, invoices are created for all bidders at once from the bidders to invoice screen. They can combine a client's bidder numbers, include the buyer's premium, insurance, VAT and platform fees, and are printed or emailed in batches.

- [Buyer's premium](https://www.selloff.auction/glossary/buyers-premium.md): A charge, usually a percentage of the hammer price, that the buyer pays to the auction house on top of the hammer price. The rate is published in the conditions of sale and can differ from one sale to another.
