## What the Biddr integration does

Biddr is an online bidding platform for coin and collectibles auctions. The Selloff integration uses the Biddr API in three ways, all authenticated with the token you generate in your Biddr account.

## Absentee bids

Before the sale, open **Import bids** on the sale and choose Biddr. Selloff reads the bid sheets of the Biddr auction (or of several Biddr auctions linked to the same Selloff sale), matches each bidder to an existing client by Biddr ID or email address, proposes new contacts for the others, and records the bids on the lots once you confirm. Amounts between two increments can be rounded up to the next bid step.

## Results

When the sale itself runs on Biddr, the **Biddr results** import brings back the outcome: for every lot won by a Biddr bidder, Selloff records a sale for that bidder at the hammer price. The lots are then ready for [automatic invoicing](https://www.selloff.auction/features/automatic-invoicing.md).

## Bidder list

If you enable the bidder list sync, Selloff imports your Biddr bidders as contacts every hour, creating new records and updating those it recognises. You can also start the sync by hand from the settings. Your client base then already contains Biddr bidders before their first bid arrives.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the difference between the Biddr bids import and the Biddr results import?

The bids import brings in the absentee bid sheets placed on Biddr before the sale. The results import is used after a sale run on Biddr: it records the lots won by Biddr bidders as sales in Selloff, ready for invoicing.

### Can Selloff keep the bidder numbers used on Biddr?

Yes. With the **Preserve platform bidder number** setting, bidders created from a Biddr import keep the number they had on Biddr, so paddle numbers match on both sides. Otherwise Selloff assigns the next free number of the Biddr bidder type.
