## What the NumisBids integration does

NumisBids is an online bidding platform for coin auctions. Collectors browse your catalogue there and leave absentee bids before the sale. Selloff fetches these bids through the NumisBids bid export, so you do not have to re-type bid sheets or reconcile two bidder lists.

## How it works

1. In **Settings › Integrations**, enter the company ID and API key provided by NumisBids, and choose the bidder type, bid origin and external reference used for NumisBids bidders.
2. Record the NumisBids sale ID on your Selloff sale.
3. Open **Import bids** and choose NumisBids. Selloff downloads the bid sheets and lists every bidder with the action it proposes: link to the client with the same NumisBids ID, link to the client with the same email address, or create a new contact.
4. After you confirm, bids are recorded on the lots by lot number, with NumisBids as origin, and bidders get a number from the NumisBids bidder type. Amounts that fall between two increments can be rounded up to the next bid step.

The next import starts after the last bid sheet already processed, so you can refresh the book as often as you like before the sale. Once imported, bids appear in the auctioneer's book and in [bidder tracking](https://www.selloff.auction/features/bidder-management.md) like any other [absentee bid](https://www.selloff.auction/features/bid-recording.md).

## Frequently asked questions

### What do I need to connect NumisBids to Selloff?

The company (firm) ID and API key provided by NumisBids. You enter them once in the Selloff integration settings, together with the bidder type, bid origin and client external reference to use for NumisBids bidders.

### What happens to a NumisBids bidder who is not yet a client?

Selloff proposes to create a new contact from the details sent by NumisBids (name, address, email, country) and stores the NumisBids ID on it. At the next import, the same bidder is recognised automatically.
