- New contacts created with the address data sent by Philasearch
- Repeat imports only add new bids; optional bid-step rounding

## What the Philasearch integration does

Philasearch is an online platform where philatelic auction houses publish their catalogues and collectors place bids. The Selloff integration downloads the bids placed on Philasearch for your sale and records them in Selloff, next to the bids you receive by email, phone or on your own website.

## How it works

1. In **Settings › Integrations**, enter the API key and platform identifier provided by Philasearch, and choose the bidder type, bid origin and client external reference to use.
2. Record the Philasearch auction ID on your Selloff sale.
3. Open **Import bids** and choose Philasearch. Selloff lists every Philasearch customer with the action it proposes: link to the client carrying the same Philasearch customer number, link to the client with the same email address, or create a new contact from the name, address and country sent by Philasearch.
4. Confirm the import. Bids are recorded on the lots by lot number, with Philasearch as origin. Amounts that fall between two increments can be rounded up to the next bid step.

Later imports only propose bids placed since the previous run. The imported bids then feed the auctioneer's book, [bidder tracking](https://www.selloff.auction/features/bidder-management.md) and invoicing like any other [absentee bid](https://www.selloff.auction/features/bid-recording.md).

## Frequently asked questions

### What do I need to connect Philasearch to Selloff?

The API key and platform identifier provided by Philasearch. You enter them once in the Selloff integration settings, together with the bidder type, bid origin and client external reference used for Philasearch bidders.

### Are Philasearch bids treated differently from other absentee bids?

No. Once imported, they sit in the same book as bids received by email, phone or on your website. Their origin is recorded as Philasearch, so you can still filter them and see where your bids come from.
