## What the Sage Accpac export does

Sage Accpac, now sold as Sage 300, is an accounting and ERP package used by many mid-sized companies. Selloff keeps the detailed auction accounting itself (hammer prices, buyer's premium, commissions, fees, VAT and payments) and hands the result to Sage as general ledger batches.

## How it works

1. Each Selloff account can carry an **export account number**, so your Selloff chart of accounts maps onto the account numbers used in Sage.
2. In **Accounting › Exports**, Selloff shows the transactions not yet exported, grouped by period, currency and branch. Create an export for a branch, currency and date range.
3. Download the files for the export in the Sage Accpac format: buyer invoices, consignor invoices, supplier invoices and payments.

Each file follows the Accpac GL batch import layout: a batch record, a journal header with the source type, fiscal year, period and a description such as "Soff Customer Invoices" with the date range, then one detail line per invoice line or payment with account, amount, currency, date, description and a reference made of the client number and name. The Selloff sale number is added to each entry as the optional field AUCTION, so you can analyse revenue by sale in Sage.

Counterpart accounts for buyers, consignors, suppliers and payments are set per branch and currency in the accounting settings. ## Frequently asked questions

### Which transactions does the Sage Accpac export contain?

Selloff creates four files for the chosen branch, currency and period: buyer invoices, consignor invoices (settlements), supplier invoices and payments. Each invoice line is booked to the account defined in Selloff, with the client number and name as reference.

### Can the same transactions be exported twice?

No. Once a transaction is included in an export, it is marked as exported and can no longer be modified or exported again. The **Exports** page shows, for each period, currency and branch, how many transactions are still unexported, in export or already exported.
