- Bid sheets downloaded from the Sixbid API for the sale
- Bidders matched to clients by Sixbid ID, then by email address
- Later imports only pick up new bid sheets
- Optional rounding of bids up to the next bid step

## What the Sixbid integration does

Sixbid is an online bidding platform for numismatic auctions. When your catalogue is on Sixbid, collectors leave absentee bids there. The integration brings those bids into your Selloff sale, so that the auctioneer's book, the bidder list and the invoices all work from the same data.

## How it works

1. Enter your Sixbid API key once in **Settings › Integrations**, and choose the bidder type, bid origin and client external reference used for Sixbid.
2. Record the Sixbid auction ID on the sale.
3. Open **Import bids** and choose Sixbid. Selloff downloads the bid sheets and shows a review screen: each Sixbid bidder is matched to an existing client (by Sixbid ID, then by email address) or proposed as a new contact with the name, address and phone number given on Sixbid.
4. Confirm the import. Bids are recorded on the lots by lot number, with Sixbid as their origin, and each bidder receives a number from the Sixbid bidder type. If the option is enabled, amounts that fall between two increments are rounded up to the next bid step.

Each import remembers the last bid sheet processed, so the next one only proposes new bid sheets. Imported bids then behave like any other [absentee bid](https://www.selloff.auction/features/bid-recording.md). ## Frequently asked questions

### How does Selloff match Sixbid bidders to my existing clients?

The Sixbid bidder ID is stored as an external reference on the client record. On import, Selloff looks for that reference first, then for a client with the same email address. Bidders it cannot match are proposed as new contacts, and you check the proposed country before anything is created.

### Can I import Sixbid bids several times before the sale?

Yes. Each import remembers the last bid sheet it processed, and the next one only proposes bid sheets placed since then. You can repeat the import as often as needed until the sale starts.
