## What we are building

Alongside AI-assisted description, a valuation step looks for comparable objects in your own past results and in public sales results and listings, then suggests an estimate range for the lot.

## How it will work

- Realised prices weigh more than estimates, starting prices or asking prices.
- Comparables in other currencies are converted with the historical exchange rates recorded in Selloff. Where no rate exists, the figure stays in its original currency and is labelled as such, never guessed.
- Each comparable is stored with its source, its type of price and the rate used, so the specialist can check how the suggestion was reached.
- The suggestion is a starting point. The specialist sets the estimate and the reserve, as today.

## Who it is for

Specialists and auctioneers who set estimates for many lots before a catalogue deadline, and want the evidence in front of them.
