ATG (Auction Technology Group)

Import the results of a sale held on ATG marketplaces such as The Saleroom or LiveAuctioneers: every lot won becomes a sale for its buyer, ready to invoice.

ATG (Auction Technology Group)

What the ATG integration does

Auction Technology Group (ATG) operates online auction marketplaces such as The Saleroom, LiveAuctioneers, Lot-tissimo, Proxibid and BidSpotter. When your sale is offered on them, the integration brings its results back into Selloff, so that invoices, bidder tracking and client records work from the same data as the rest of the sale.

How it works

  1. In Settings › Integrations › ATG, choose the bidder type used for ATG buyers and, if you wish, the client external reference that stores their ATG reference.
  2. After the sale, export the bidders and the lots of the auction from ATG as Excel files (.xlsx).
  3. On the sale, open Import bids, choose ATG and upload both files. Selloff combines them: for each winning bidder, the contact details and the lots won with their hammer price.
  4. Link each marketplace named in the export to a bid origin in Selloff.
  5. Check the review screen. Each buyer is matched to an existing client (by ATG reference, then by email address), with similar contacts suggested, or proposed as a new contact once you have checked the country.
  6. Start the import. Lots are found by lot number and each one is recorded as a sale for its buyer, ready for automatic invoicing.

If the sale already holds sales, Selloff asks you to confirm before importing again. Each import stays in the sale's import history with its errors and warnings. See also bid import from platforms and bidder registration and tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Does the ATG integration use an API?

No, it works from files. Export the bidders and the lots of your auction from ATG in Excel format (.xlsx), then upload both files on the sale's Import bids page. Selloff combines them and shows a review screen before anything is recorded.

How are sales from different ATG marketplaces told apart?

The ATG export names the marketplace on which each lot was won. Before the review, Selloff lists these marketplaces and you link each one to a bid origin set up in Selloff. The sales carry that origin, and any platform fees set on it are added to the buyer's invoice. Lots marked "ATG Multi-Platform" in the export are left out.

Which bidder number do ATG buyers get in Selloff?

They are registered for the sale with the bidder type chosen for ATG in Settings › Integrations, and receive the next free number of that type. A client already registered for the sale with that bidder type keeps the existing number.
