Selloff 3.0: new navigation, a dashboard per auction and one page per client

Selloff 3.0 introduces a new menu with global search, a dashboard configured per auction and a contact page that gathers every role, document and activity of a client. Here is what changes for each team in an auction house, and why.

Selloff 3.0 was released on 11 September 2026. It is the first major version since Selloff 2.4, and most of its changes serve one purpose: reaching the right information with fewer clicks, whether you work at the front desk, in the catalogue department or in accounting. This article walks through the release by workflow. The full list of changes is in the Selloff 3.0 release notes.

01

The menu has been redesigned, and a global search is available from every screen. Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows, type a name, a lot reference, a lot number or an auction, and Selloff lists the matches by type. An exact reference match comes first, so a clerk who types a lot reference goes straight to the lot. Recent searches are kept for quick access.

An auction selector keeps the sale you are working on in context in the menu and the breadcrumbs. Sorting and column choices are remembered per page, and drop-down lists can be used from the keyboard.

Why it matters: during viewing days and sale weeks, staff move between clients, lots and sales all day. Fewer steps to reach a record means fewer interruptions for the person on the phone or at the desk. See smart search and filters.

02

Front desk and client relations: one page per client

The contact page has been rebuilt so that everything about a client is on one page: details and addresses, email addresses, bank accounts, invoices and accounts, campaigns, opportunities and appraisals. Receipts are split by role, so you can see at a glance what a person has consigned in their own name, as a broker or as a representative.

The activity feed has been redesigned. You can create an activity where you are, filter the feed and see what is due. Sections of the page are read-only for users without edit rights, so the whole team can use the page without risk of accidental changes.

Why it matters: an auction house often deals with the same person as buyer, consignor and appraisal client. Seeing all roles together means an open invoice is not missed when a consignor calls about a settlement. See client records and users, roles and permissions.

03

Sale management: a dashboard per auction

The dashboard is now made of widgets and configured per auction. Typical widgets show the bidders still to invoice, the bids waiting for confirmation and the offers to review. Each sale team sees the work that is waiting for it, without opening several lists. See dashboard and tasks and offers and after-sale.

For timed sales, a new setting adds extra time to a lot only when a bid raises the current price.

04

Cataloguing and images

  • Protected numbering

Once a catalogue is active, lot numbers and sessions can no longer be changed from the describe interface, which protects the numbering of a published catalogue.

  • Upload progress

Mass scan uploads show overall progress.

  • Scan order

Scans can be reordered during validation.

  • Sort text

An option shows the sort text in the description panel.

05

Accounting and documents

  • Background exports

Large exports of invoices, payments, lots and contact lists now run in the background. You can keep working, and an email tells you when the file is ready.

  • Credit notes

Credit notes can use tokens from the original invoice.

  • Table footers

Table footers in documents can be linked to a column.

06

A German interface

Selloff’s interface is now available in German, alongside English and French, for teams working in German.
